Dom support OricMag, one of the best news i'd this summer and let me confident about a valuable content for next issues.
So OricMag 002 (and 003) are on the way. Of course, i need more infos : code, trials, interviews, stories, news .... to finalize these.
Challenge is there.
With some pages i'll be happy to finalize 2 new issues before end of the year.

Re: OricMag 002 (and 003)
Not sure if it's the kind of things you are interested in, but I'm in the process of finally doing the physical editions of the Defence Force games which I've been working on since at least 2019.
Assuming I can get some reliable ways to duplicate my floppies and tapes, I should be able to produce a few units of Impossible Mission, Blake's 7, Skool Daze, etc... with proper floppies and tapes with labels, and depending of the game some more or less advanced cases.
See: https://blog.defence-force.org/index.ph ... &ref=ART59 and https://github.com/Dhebug/Oric-FloppyBox-Insert

Thanks Dbug, it's a good idea (at least for myself) and i'm convinced that every communication way is good for the community.

I'm not sure i've understood the box model you used to put the insert and create your covers ...Assuming I can get some reliable ways to duplicate my floppies and tapes, I should be able to produce a few units of Impossible Mission, Blake's 7, Skool Daze, etc... with proper floppies and tapes with labels, and depending of the game some more or less advanced cases

Re: OricMag 002 (and 003)
Steve Marshall had some old unsold stocks of "Chess II" and "House of Death" that used the rigid clamshell type of packaging. Many of them had internal defects like damaged plastic retainers.coco.oric wrote: Tue Sep 09, 2025 4:52 amI'm not sure i've understood the box model you used to put the insert and create your covers ...Assuming I can get some reliable ways to duplicate my floppies and tapes, I should be able to produce a few units of Impossible Mission, Blake's 7, Skool Daze, etc... with proper floppies and tapes with labels, and depending of the game some more or less advanced cases
So I'm taking out the sleeve, tape and manual, I clip out the two prongs in the center (because they are a bit too tall), and I insert my 3D printed box on top.
Ideally finding brand new boxes like that would be more practical, but the closes I found was things like Nintendo DS or similar cases, which have different sizes. The nice thing about these is that they are exactly the same size as the usual IJK or Loriciels clam-shell tape boxes, so they integrate very well with the rest of the Oric software.

Thanks Dbug. It's clear.
To ensure the maximum of users able to create these disk boxes, i'll look also at some recent one like DS boxes. I'll ckeck one to see if the idea is reliable and not too difficult to do

Re: OricMag 002 (and 003)
For information, the classic IJK/Loriciels tape boxes are still available brand new, like on https://cassettecases.com/products/black-mini-rave-case, they call them "Rave Case" (I'm sure they can be found cheaper somewhere else, was just the first hit I found).
So one of the things I did was to get a few like that (years ago) because I had some originals in the hard case boxes, I moved them into the soft shells and reused the hard cases for the floppies project.
While on the topic, there are still some companies that can do tape duplication, complete with custom labels (color or not), choice of cassette body color and case with inlay! See: https://www.bandcds.co.uk/cassettes/cas ... rave-cases
