Le Diamant de l'île maudite

Looking for a change of pace, I tried Le Diamant de l'île maudite last night!
My French is passable (J'ai étudié le francais au niveau 'A Level' et il y a vingt ans je parlais pas mal) but of course I haven't really played adventure games in French before so guessing the keywords was a bit of a problem! Also, whereas I was expecting nord, sud, oest, est, the commands were unfamiliar (gauche, droit, avance).
After a while j'ai avancé trop au mer et sadly je suis devenu un repas for les requins.
I did enjoy the graphics and the atmosphere of it and will come back to it when I have more time.
Generally, though, I don't enjoy adventure games as a genre nearly as much now as when I was a child... I guess this is do with a lack of free time, a more frenetic pace of life generally, and a change in what we classify as entertainment (as we get older, and as time passes). I used to love exploring on the old Level 9 adventure games even if I didn't get far.
