3D printable replacement part[s] for MCP-40

This is the right place to discuss on how to implement hardware vsync, adding a VIA or AY chipset, puting multiple roms, or how to design a new flash expansion card.

3D printable replacement part[s] for MCP-40

Post by mmu_man »

Someone requested help on the Silicium forum with some broken parts in his MCP-40, and while the gears are easy to find replacements for, the other part didn't seem to exist.

So I modeled it in OpenSCAD. It's the small lever that transmits the magnetic coil displacement to the axis pushing the stylus. It's so small that regular filament deposit methods of 3D printing might not get a usable version, so we'll have to try and print with resin to assert the dimensions.

I've put the design online, in case someone else needs. If it works I might make some more and sell them.

Any other parts you have that are broken and could need a replacement you can't find?
