I downloaded 18, 20-28 (no 25?), and 96-99 from oric.org, they are now on defence force as well.
Thanks for making the comparison :)

Stupid question but I can't recall if we have Dave Dick's blessing for having all this up online?
(don't misunderstand: I'm quite happy to read all this!)

Well, if the CEO guys wouldn't take offense, I've got CEO issues, January 1992 through to September 1993. I could scan & upload them here. I just figured that most of the CEO back issues were already available.
Sorry guys, up to now, CEO board didn't allowed issues to be freely distributed and having access to them is quite easy and not expensive.

And don't spend your time. All issues are digitally available.
No problem, good to know.

On a related question, is Jonathan Haworth's excellent book, "Oric - The Story So far" available online somewhere? Or is scanning this a no-no as well? I've got version 2, updated & reprinted when the OUM was thriving.

Fabirce made it available long ago, and it's still here :)

Could be interesting to check if the book has more to offer than the online version?

I saw Dave not long a few years back when he visited the Canaries and didn't seem to have any issues with Oric-lovers spreading the word in any way possible. I'd place my hamster's life that Dave won't mind so go for it.

Hi. Good to know. Well, I checked, textually, they seem identical, but there seems to be at least 5-6 photos are missing from the online version, plus the book has a fairly comprehensive index. For those interested in the book-version, I've scanned it, downloadable from the below link (73megs).

Here's OUM 116 :)
Sorry, some pages were not aligned correctly by the automatic scanner. I couldn't try a 2nd time as I wasn't supposed to monoploize the professional scanner/printer for this.

Thanks for that. I've not been able to get the other issues to load so your direct links are perfect. Good to see that Dave was still including plenty of digs at me, this time accusing me of running from the CSA 'just cos I was moving house every other month! Noticed he also mentioned my 'machine code arcade game' that I was working on. Ah, yes. I remember that.... instead of concentrating on one project I was working on at least four, so none got very far but I did learn a lot about coding and my own style of doing it in the process. I am literally salivating at the thought of picking up where I left off but doing it properly this time. Just need to sort a tape recorder + connection now and I'll be ready to go.

Thanks again for posting that.

You're welcome, glad someone enjoyed it and could be back on track to finish old projects ;)
Regarding the download, I'm just using the forum storage area. I also had trouble with Omelette's previsualisation system (Google it seems) which slowed down my (old) computer and used much memory, but could download them anyway (not meaning to blame Omelette for anything here! ;) ).
You should check Dbug's link to his storage area, quite direct.

Yep, Google-drive links stink in this respect. Originally I tried placing Google-drive pdf links here, and just loading the thread's page would bring my whole computer to a halt for minutes at a time as Google insisted on downloading previews of each OUM issue. Google must think that the rest of the world have gigabit internet links. i hope they have a wake-up call & their Stadia crap crashes & burns - something like a MINIMIUM of 10mb/s to be even usable, 35mb/s if you want to play competitively! My maximum i/net is about 18mb/s - at 4am!!! - during peak periods I'm lucky if I see 1.5mb/s, though it's often a lot less. I hope Musk's Starlink will eventually take me out of this i/net hell. It will at least give existing ISP's worldwide, serious pause for thought if they think that can get away with providing abysmal services indefinitely.
