Pinhole in the speaker

Post by JonB »

My Atmos has a pin hole in the speaker at 6 o'clock. Odd. Then I noticed the exact same hole in various photos of the board on the Internet, as well as distortion in the cone that look a bit like creases.

I'm guessing these are typical, but why? Anyone know?

Cheap high-pass filter, perhaps? ;)

Could you take a photo and post it on the forum (ie: no external link)?

Just Google "Oric Atmos PCB", there are many examples. I've yet to find one without the pinhole.

I'll take a picture of mine next time I'm playing with it.
