SEDORIC 3.0 Help wanted

This is the best place to discuss about the various Oric operating systems like Sedoric, Randos, FT-Dos, and others, as well as serious software, utilities, word processors, disassemblers, etc... that runs on oric computers.

SEDORIC 3.0 Help wanted

Post by Vyper68 »

Hi,
Can someone walk me through how I can set the Keymap on SEDORIC 3.X so I can have the "@" key on Shift 2. When you boot it is like the Keymap is different as you get an accented "a" as well as some other accented keys.
It's been years since I really used SEDORIC, probably I haven't used it since I had SEDORIC 2.1 back in the OUM days and that version keeps the entire UK keymap. I have forgotten most of everything I knew back then so I'm kind of starting from scratch again.
Any help would be great thanks.

There's a pretty detailed guide in the Sedoric 3 manual - https://library.defence-force.org/index ... ch=Sedoric

The sections you are looking for are 'Changing the keyboard' followed by 'Function key setup' and 'Keyuse'

Hi
Thanks for the tip on finding the manual. Looks like I need to use Accent Off/Set to get the original ASCII set back
It's that old adage RTFM LOL.

Like I said I haven't used Sedoric since the early 90's so I'm very rusty.
