TapeRipper 2.0

This is the best place to discuss about the various Oric operating systems like Sedoric, Randos, FT-Dos, and others, as well as serious software, utilities, word processors, disassemblers, etc... that runs on oric computers.

TapeRipper 2.0

Post by Dbug »

So, using my old code and some of the stuff Symoon had done in the past, I cobbled together what I call TapeRipper 2.0.

I made a small video to show how it works:

Here is the current executable and the non clean source code.
TapeRipper.dsk

TapeRipper.zip

I committed the code on the SVN repository, unchanged, but at least it's archived "as is".

Version 2.1 of TapeRipper is now available, and I while I was at it I added an entry on Oric.org

https://www.oric.org/index.php?page=sof ... m_log=2779

I used it to rip two programs:
- "Finances" by ARG Informatique -> https://www.oric.org/software/finances-1343.html
- "Teach yourself graphics" -> https://www.oric.org/software/teach_you ... s-514.html

The reason for this version 2.1 is that Teach Yourself was recorded in slow mode, and that was not supported by the program (for the ones interested, the only difference is that the address #24D defines if tapes are loaded as FAST (0) or SLOW (other values).
