This includes generic Oric talkings and things that are totaly unrelated but want to share with people here :)

Hi,

I'm not sure the 'Search' function is working correctly after the upgrade. Any search results in the reporting of 'One found', and then only one page of results... try 'Telestrat'

It's weird, I tried, at first I got a full page, then I tried again and only got one post.

Interestingly that was one of the "improvements" of the new version:
https://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopic.php?t=2616926
This version is a maintenance release of the 3.3.x branch which introduces support for SVG and WebP images in ranks, smilies, and topic icons, as well as improved performance of the phpBB native search engine.

Very weird. Can confirm what you have DBug:
- first search full results (that is also why I did not notice so far);
- second search with same search term only one result;
- next search with new search term full results again;
- second search with that same second search term: one result again.

Maybe some sort of cookies issue?

Well, could very well be that the new version of phpBB is broken for the search.

From what I read, 3.3.7 is an emergency fix for 3.3.6 which had some severe issues with user permissions which was "not noticed during testing".

"Optimize phpBB Native Search" was the other big change to 3.3.6, it's possible it also had issues "not noticed during testing".

Guess I'll have to monitor for a few days, and eventually post some message on the phpbb forum to see if anyone knows what it causing the issue.

Looks like 3.3.8 is out, should probably update one of these days.
The fixes include, among others, an issue with the native search backend only returning 1 match and 1 page as result, and resolves issues with emojis in the subject line of emails and email based notifications.

I was waiting to see if there will be no more issues (you never know with "bug fixes") and then I forgot.
I'll try to see if I can do that Tomorrow

We are now running 3.3.8, please check if everything is working properly, including the search engine.

Thanks!
