I must say that it is Fabrice Frances the one who deserves credit for this version of pinforic And I can confirm it works in Oricutron too. It was a kind of a mess of versions and emails which created all this confusion.
Enjoy!
Upcoming brand-new Oric text adventure
Re: Upcoming brand-new Oric text adventure
I need to point out that there's been some heroic efforts from Fabrice and Chema in trying to get the old code to compile "clean" with the modern tools, and if that happens, we may release the entire source code of the new "clean" Pinforic so it does not get lost and other people can make Z based games
Re: Upcoming brand-new Oric text adventure
Congrats for the release. It's always pleasure to see finished projects, made with style!
Re: Upcoming brand-new Oric text adventure
Yes! I wasn't expecting Fabrice and Chema to put in more hours all those years later, but they did and it's awesome I didn't want to announce anything about Pinforic because it's not my place - my contribution was mostly cheering on the sidelines xD thank you Fabrice, Chema, and Dbug!

Re: Upcoming brand-new Oric text adventure
Super work!
Not only an excellent one disk Oric version, but to my surprise also finally a real 80 column Commodore 128 version.
So updated the picture of the two running at the same time: Funny. By coincidence I was already testing the new Ozmoo C128 version also because via via I was approached as they wanted to test if it worked on a C128D 16k VDC version which I have.....
Did already want to message you to ask if you wanted to do that version as well if the new Ozmoo was released, but evidently reading your readme you were one of the testers as well
Now the only to do is this one to get running on my other two machines But have to save for getting a TIPI on my TI-99/4a to get disk emulation on that machine first, also saving for a vDrive microdrive emulation on my ZX Spectrum 128 which maybe might be a possibility for you to port also to....

Re: Upcoming brand-new Oric text adventure
One year later, here's some news: I've just published Release 3 of the game (minor tweaks, game loads a bit faster now) as well as the French translation, "L'île Tristam" ! Available here, and its free demo here.
I didn't have time to look into how to display the accented characters for now but it's something I am looking into for version 2 some time in 2022. Dbug has already explained me how to do it, I just have to actually do it
I hope French-speaking Oric users enjoy this!

Re: Upcoming brand-new Oric text adventure
Nice, thanks for the information!
Sutpid question: when buying, do we get access to all versions (apparently yes for all machines, but I'm especially asking considering the languages English and French), or is the buying specific to some versions?

Re: Upcoming brand-new Oric text adventure
Not a stupid question! For technical reasons (itch.io does not support/allow multilingual pages) I have it split as two pages, so that would be 2 purchases. That being said, I said publicly (on my twitter) a few days ago that if someone buys one and wants the other one too, they should contact me and I will send a key. So buy whichever language you want and send me an PM or an email and I'll give you the other one!

Thanks for the reply!
Very kind of you
(beware though that nasty people might buy the special offer and request the other one )
