IJK interface diagrams.

This is the right place to discuss on how to implement hardware vsync, adding a VIA or AY chipset, puting multiple roms, or how to design a new flash expansion card.

Just found the following link:

https://www.old-computers.com/museum/ha ... c=180&st=1

There was something called "Cumana expansion box" for the Oric, and according to the above mentioned web site "This expansion holds a power supply unit and a dual expansion port allowing the floppy disk unit and another expansion device to be connected simultaneously.".

Never heard of it, but if someone has some information, just let us know.

Cheers !

Interesting.

I wonder how difficult it would be to design an expansion for the Oric, which basically would be like a variant of the amplibus/cumulubus that you attach at the back of the oric, with multiple connectors on it, and for each connector a set of jumpers or switches allowing to select for each connector an addressing range so you could basically add to a device that does not do any proper address decoding and force it to only narrow down to a specific range.

Obviously software would have to be patched or made to support the possibility to change I/O ports locations, but that would make it possible to use the French TMPI speech synthesizer with a microdisc or cumulus, for example :)

It would help a lot to get hands on this "Cumana expansion box" to see what's inside...

But "microdisc (or cumulus) can’t be plugged"...

.. because it already has an SD card onboard:
Twilighte card V0.3

V0.3
Only works with a 65C02 (new : works with a 6502)
handles 16KB*7 banks (rom)
Handles Overlay ram
microdisc (or cumulus) can’t be plugged
usb key reader
sdcard read
In the future, firmware update will allow 512KB of rom and 512KB of ram
2 joysticks port
usb mouse, joysticks, keyboard

Yes, I know, but if you want to use old school floppies, you're stuck...

I’m working on a device I call OmniBus, this is an AmpliBus multi port with 4 expansion connectors.

Also, I’m working on other device I call OrLink, this is a cartridge interface with one RS232 connector, and Wi-Fi connection via an ESP-12F module.

Hello, I am very interested in the "Omnibus" project, I need one to connect both my Erebus and my Protek joystick interface on my Atmos.
Silicebit, how is this project going ? Do you think it should be finished this year ?
Will it be powered by its own power supply ?
