Re: Philips D6260 K7 deck bulk repair
I checked the belts, not sure they need replacing even though they are like 30y old.
People sell belts on ebay for like 10€, which is ridiculous… At least I found a more reasonable source I think.
Now, measuring them without cutting them can be challenging. I think the big one is 1x1mm 84mm diameter. The smaller one for the counter is like 0.5x0.5mm 34mm diameter I think.

Someone told me there were bad experience with the shop I found for the belts… hopefully this one has better comments everywhere, I'll see.

There are plenty of people selling packets of assorted belts on ebay for about £3.
They can be square or flat. Make sure you get the right ones.
Usually there is a lot of bands that won't be much use but you can find something useful with different machines.

Yes I noticed those, not sure about the quality though. Anyone tried them already?
Re: Philips D6260 K7 deck bulk repair
They are not all of equivalent quality, but I did get a couple of packs, square section and circular section ones, because they are cheap and it's practical to get some generic replacements, on the other hand, for high end equipment like my Yamaha TC800 and the Marantz CP430 I got some proper belts because I did not want to second guess the size and tension of belts.

Ok, so I received the replacement gears, they look really nice, just a few small bubbles telling they were molded in some way, but nothing preventing them to work.
I cleaned the second one I have (battery leakage…), replaced the gears and I'll also need to replace the middle battery contact as it's probably too corroded (still taking a vinegar bath)…

Just saw one in GB on eBay if anyone is interested.

I have, but it's not turning at the right speed, so I will have to open it.mmu_man wrote: ↑Fri Apr 09, 2021 7:45 pm There's one on eBay in Germany…
I don't think DBuG has tested his already?
Re: Philips D6260 K7 deck bulk repair
It's not worth paying for somethign like that IMHO. There are other better ones about - though the asking price is often a bit steep.

Wait for one to turn up at the right price.
