Fixing Oric Nova64

Post by iss »

This is replay to @Dbug's post in Oriclopedia: A series of videos on all things Oric about Oric Nova64 machines.

My Oric Nova64 is exactly the same!

And the problem was exactly the same! Key clicks, zap, ping etc. are working, even text/hires works but no real characters were on screen - only b/w rows here and there. I was ready to change RAM chips but luckily I tried first with other ULA (because it's on socket already) ... and voila everything works!

I did try to change the ULA, that did not fix the problem, that being said it was an ULA I had lying around, I did not try any of the ones I received since.
