High Score on Netflix

Post by jbperin »

Hi every body,

I recently watched all episode of the series named "High Score" on Netflix which is related to history of video games and I really enjoyed it.

It is a documentary series with lots of interview of some important personalities in game development history

I found it was instructive and interesting ( even though I haven't seen so much Oric in it).

For french readers who already know it, it is a little bit as this wonderful series on Arte dedicated to retrogaming:

Very nice series indeed with fantastic opening sequence.

Only downside is that it depicts the story of video games from purely an US perspective. Which means almost only consoles are covered, with only Atari and Nintendo in the 8 bit age. The series alas completely misses the 8 bit home computers apart from very briefly the Apple II.

Very enjoyable nonetheless.
But certainly also watch for example 'From Bedrooms to Billions' for the UK perspective covering the 8 bit homecomputers we have grown to love much better.
