Hello Oric World.

I'm new Oric baby.
I have 4 modes to work - Oric 1, Oric Atmos, Oric Telstrat (HyperBasic), Oric Telestrat (TeleAss).
I have 16-bit heart - 65C816 and 64K Ram.
Maybe I will have SVideo and composite outputs these days.

Looks very interesting, especially if there's a "modern" way to plug it on a screen (seems like SCART is going to die). You hardware guys rock!

I was about to ask if the power plug shouldn't be moved somewhere else, but it looks like the board is designed to fit in existing Orics

The idea is just to replace the Atmos board with AtmoStrat board and use HuperBasic compiler. 16-bit processor is extra, but unfortunately it don't work with Dos 8D, just with Oric Dos / Sedoric / StratSed. There is no place for MIDI. You just must change 9V PSU with 5V PSU. I hope these are good news for everyone who like to write software for Oric.

About Dos-8D: as I already promised you - I'll replace all 'invalid' cpu instructions, so it will work.
About MIDI: especially for ibisum(!) I foresee to include MIDI support too in my project code name "Oric Communicator". It's work in progress.

Regarding the 65816, is there a 1mhz compatibility mode and why not more than 64k?

Even if adding a 7805 is cheap to support PSU higher than 5V, you must put a diode on the power supply or lots of these board will die unhappy with a reverse polarity :/

The computer is running only in 1 MHz. It's not faster than Atmos and Telestrat and is 100% compatible, just have extended optcodes and address modes. It is useful for that who loves to write in assembler language. I hope there will be interested to find some useful 65C816 cross-assembler. I'm working on to add 64K extra, but it seems it's not easy because of the ULA. Will know soon.

About 7805 - I have replaced it because of the room and because there is a lot of modern 5V PSU-s on the market. I have bought mine PSU adapter a hour before turning on the computer. About the diode - it's not a bad idea, thanks I accept every good idea!

BTW why have you kept the original oric layout? I mean the OpAmp on the 1/Atmos is really badly placed and should be closer to the PSG

I want to keep the max of the Oric spirit and to fit in original Atmos case. Thanks to a friend of mine I have empty Pravetz 8D board and I did a lot of work to capture the schematics from. Then I routed the board following the original. You could see the pictures of the first version of the board with 6502 and 65C816 extension. I wanted to avoid the risk on failure.
Thanks to Fabrice and with his modified Telestrat ROMs was born the idea to make it Telestrat compatible. I have a lot of ideas more, but don't want to talk before to try them Let me try SVideo out first...
