Hello,
Here you can see my last device - Oric SD Drive.
It uses usual PC PSU and power the computer too. There's not ribbon cable - just plug the device and power. It is Dos 8D compatible and support Apple ][ 5.25" drives and 3.5" drives with HDD as slave drive.
It's just hand-made prototype, I'll make better plastic panel
I hope you will like it

Re: Oric SD Drive
Looks really nice - only thing is that it seems a bit fragile, 'bolted on' to the Atmos like that ..
I like the direction you're going, anyway - could it be that we one day have the ultimate expansion bay for the Atmos that has everything - SD, Wifi, Joysticks, MIDI, and so on?

Re: Oric SD Drive
It will more beautiful when I make new panel. I'll make videos tomorrow to see how it work. The white SD box is made from a friend of mine - oricfan, and the rest is mine. Do you thing we must choose a name or Oric SD Drive is good?
I could integrate joystick port, but will increase the size. Maybe in version 2!

Re: Oric SD Drive
Awesome work as usual!
I also wonder if such a device could add too much mechanical stress to the expansion connector, or is that avoided somehow?
What are the specs? Is it emulating a disk drive?
EDIT: One related question... I lost my Oric logo sticker loooong time ago... How did you make that? Is it printed on photographic paper or something like that? How did you get the right size, if that is the case?
I have a logo replica as a vector image file, but not sure how to make it the correct size (don't know even what it is) for printing...
