I'm the highest bidder on that at the moment, don't think I'll win it though.. :(

Hope you win it.
The modem, though probably useless today, is quite rare. Hoping it has the software with it.

I have a spare copy of Oricomms if needed.

Not sure if there is anything left out there that you can connect to with a modem?

The lot went for a mind-blowing £465.

I bid £288 so not even close, never mind.

Ouch.
Hoping it's not just for gathering dust on a shelf.

Jeez! Bad luck Dave, I was looking at it myself. I figured it might go for about 300 but 465!?

I reckon it's gone to a collector...I didn't even know oric branded joysticks and modems existed. So yeah...I'm guessing it'll probably gather dust...

Still, although people knock collectors at least the stuff isn't in landfill somewhere and will still be available years from now...which I think is a good thing.

Hopefully someone at DF got it...

Not knocking all collectors, it actually depends on people. We are all collectors in a way, some are actively doing something with what they gather (new games, transfers, websites), some don't do much (we can't all be active anytime) but are there to lend or help, but some just collect and disappear - and that is realy a pity (but then again some may have good reasons... And some not! ;) ).

Twi was trying to pursuade people to do a hardware database/ museum website thing. If people don't know about the joystick and modem it shows there is scope for such a prioject. I used to want a graphiscope and the numeric keypad looked nice. There's a lot of gadgets most didn't get to see.

I'd like to sell a lot of my stuff but I need to get it up and running first, I guess. There so much it's hard to know where to start.
