[ATHANOR] New Adventure Game on Oric1/Atmos

Hi Everybody

Just a little post to inform you that a new game will come out very soon on Oric.
Athanor
It's an Adventure Game, Hobbit Style.
It will be available in physical version, 3.5" or 3" disk in a cardboard jacket cover (see : Infiltrator on Apple //)

This game will be delivered with several material clues (like CobraSoft games in the 80s)
Here is the illustration of the cover and a couple of screenshots







NB : The game will also be fully translated in english. (sorry these screenshots belong to the French version, I will post some with English text soon)

Now that I see the screenshots, I wonder if your game would not benefit from having a custom character font instead of the system one

The game is not on Oric.org, if somebody has it I could probably extract the font.

One thing is that, though I like the capitals, I find this font quite difficult to read. Dunno if this could be an issue for a text adventure game. Or maybe it is just me.

It's definitely the easiest font to read, but my point was mostly on the visual impact of having a custom font vs using the System charset.

In an adventure game you spend your time reading text, and it should not look like a second class citizen in relation to the pictures

That's one of the thing I nagged Dom about when he wrote Murder on the Atlantic, so I spent a bit of time and made him the 'Art Deco' font used in the game

On the one hand, I agree that the font is fine but on the other hand I also considered that it's a little difficult to read.
I'll try it out ingame to see the result.
