I think the issue is deeper than the availability of the CEO Mag. The Mag is just a side thing relative to the club activities. As a real club there is a financial amount (small one) to pay to be a member of the club, which gives you access to the magazine, but also the services offered by the club ...

Update. It appears that the machine stops after booting Ubuntu after the updated to 8.10 version. Interestingly, booting with a 7.10 or 8.04 live cd works well, booting with a 8.10 live cd does not.
