Re: GoogleEarth.dsk [Troll]
It actually uses that Wic64, one of those C64 WiFi modem options I posted in your other thread. Source: https://maps.c6apps.com/ LOL .. :D ... That's just unbelievable !! 2 things are sure now: - C64 version of Google Earth is far better than the Oric one. - I'm a total ignorant of what exist on ot...

Re: Pseudo pixel game prototype.
uses CIRCLE to draw things in HIRES, and then it's copied to the charset and displayed in TEXT. It's not as fast as drawing directly in the charset, but on the other hand 100% of the existing HIRES commands do work. Because that's a kind of magic to me, I consider it is witchcraft  It reminds ...

GoogleEarth.dsk [Troll]
Why not making our C64 friends jealous of our beloved Oric running Google Earth (with both satellite and administrative view).
I appology for I couldn't test on real device because I can't read non-sedoric DSK on my Atmos.

Re: Over The Air Registers For Oric
Well, the Oric Extender is a useful thing providing easy decoding of I/O space. But its primary goal is to give reliable "wiring" when prototyping compared to breadboard with dupont wires. Else is uses 74LS688 (8-bit Magnitude Comparator) which makes it flexible to select the $3xx I/O add...

Re: Pseudo pixel game prototype.
Well .. yes ... I see what you all mean .. :D One thing that stunned me in the H3 lib, is the nice packaging behind a very understandable API providing ultra convenient graphical routine (such as circle lines text ...) But I admit that some nasty demo makers  had allways made isane usage of...

Re: Over The Air Registers For Oric
we can address the registers of this component into the Page3 of the Oric memory, At first I thought of an architecture like this one (for four registers): arch4reg.PNG But I was very afraid by the timing constraints. Now that you talked to me about the RX, TX bits in a single register .. I think m...

Re: Over The Air Registers For Oric
Awesome! Shades of an M4 board for Oric. I look forward to where this is going to take us! Thank you for pointing out [https://cpcrulez.fr/hardware-interface-m4_board.htm]. It's instructive. The two main issues regarding the use of the expansion bus are: - You want that to be compatible with existi...

Re: Pseudo pixel game prototype.
But the most stunning stuff I have ever seen about the alternate charset is master rax's H3 LIB

Dynamically changing alternate charset to create a graphical area within text screen .. just amazing ..
