open it up, screws on the base are usually hidden behind plastic caps that pull out if you drill or melt a hole into the center of them.

could you reduce the sample-size by constructing the speech from allophone samples like an spo250/256 or votrax chip would?

besides, the ferro price i listed was u.k. - if you source from the u.s. then it's about £3.70

flash is cheaper, but only comparing £3 to £7
and it's getting harder to find flash that is in a dip package and not just tsop.
