Re: Next forum upgrade
Not everything can be generated statically, like the Oric Library has a search engine which returns different sets of data depending of the parameters. That can all be done as well. See for example https://www.gatsbyjs.com/docs/how-to/adding-common-features/adding-search/ Many solutions to do so. B...

Re: Next forum upgrade
Might be time to ditch PHP altogether, but that of course is quite a project. Myself quite pleased going from Wordpress to static HTML pages generated by a static page generator (Gatsby using React on node.js) from a headless CMS (Contentful), hosted on AWS S3 with Cloudfront, deployed via AWS Ampli...

Re: Oric Next ..
I wrote jede two weeks ago. I am insterested his twilighte board. I think it is the best upgrade i have seen. and may be it can be connected to an fpga and cased in a good kbd.... That sounds interesting. Well, I have a Twilighte board, but last I used it it was too unstable and too alpha for serio...

Re: Oric Next ..
I would only be interested in a FPGA replacement that a) fits in an original case and b) can run all the original hardware. So for me a pass on the Spectrum Next. Am actually more interested in the N-Go, which is a Next clone that does fit in an original case. Pity it is the rubber key one, would al...

Re: Pseudo pixel game prototype.
First Dbug, please ignore me reporting your post, answered using the wrong button again. Of course I meant the quote button instead of the report button. Second: with your explanation it is suddenly so simple. I am exploring more and more those nice demo techniques in 6502 assembler for different ma...

Re: GoogleEarth.dsk [Troll]
Eh, on the C64 this is actually already reality…..
It actually uses that Wic64, one of those C64 WiFi modem options I posted in your other thread.

Re: Over The Air Registers For Oric
I found this about the C64: https://retrogamecoders.com/commodore-64-wifi-esp8266/ as Kenneth mentionned, it is serial protocol communication .. interesting (may be a better approach than memory mapping the registers). Do you have some links for Spectrum and GI-99/4a solutions ? I would love to see...

Re: Over The Air Registers For Oric
Would be awesome indeed.
Have already similar solutions for Commodore, Spectrum and GI-99/4a. My Atmos is now my only 8 bit lacking this.

Re: Oric Screen Editor: editor for creating Oric Atmos text screens
Thanks jbperin, very nice words. This is exactly why I have decided to make everything open source and not bother with any licensing, I know from personal experience that code by others is by far the best way to learn. Besides, this forum helped me so much in realising this that copyright of it shou...

Re: C64OS ..
Agree on most parts, but the mouse pointer would be an issue. C64OS uses hardware sprites for the pointer and a software sprite for the Oric will be hard to combine with text mode. Of course solvable by making a less nice one character pointer, but is less precise and nice. You could do all in hires...
