The one 27C512 I got isn’t UV erasable. I first assumed it was an EEPROM, but unfortunately that wasn’t the case.

Received the Erebus PCB today. Still missing a few bits and bops but it is coming along nicely.

I probably need to create a custom case for it as my IDC connector has the latches.

I haven’t checked the head alignment. Aligning the head isn’t the easiest as it cannot be done whilst the tape is playing. I don’t think the belts are worn as the TCM-939 is from the early 2000s and it does load an Amstrad CPC program.

I’ll try to see if there’s any way of adjusting the azimuth.

I’m using a 14” CRT TV with Scart that’s from the early 2000s. That gives me a a crisp and sharp picture on the Oric, using RGB.
