Networking Orics with an Arduino

First evening spent on this new project! I connected the ethernet arduino to the printer port, and sent bytes (for example 13) with the command: POKE #0301,13:POKE #0300,175 The arduino reads a single byte each time the strobe line goes off. Currently, passing the value 13 triggers sending of a UDP ...

CC65 to DSK

Hey Guyz, I just released a new online game for the Apple//e, Atari, and C64 (see: http://forum.defence-force.org/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=1904) The game was programmed with CC65, and I am now starting the ATMOS port. I have a few questions, the first of which is: what is the best way to pack the output...

Re: Game Release: 8bit-Slicks Online Racer for Apple, Atari, C64 (Atmos Next!!!)

Thanks for this information, it is good to know that others managed to get loads of sprites on screen with a background.
To shorcut development time, it would help to have the ASM code from such example...

I plan to release the game on DISK, to load the race map information on demand.

Re: Game Release: 8bit-Slicks Online Racer for Apple, Atari, C64 (Atmos Next!!!)

From what I read here (http://osdk.org/index.php?page=articles&ref=ART9#title17), AIC sounds like the best approach to achieve a colourful display. The one thing that worries me is the lack of hardware sprites. Do you know if someone has written some well optimized code for sprites with background r...

Game Release: 8bit-Slicks Online Racer for Apple, Atari, C64 (Atmos Next!!!)

It was 18 months in the making... but finally I am pleased to announce the release of 8bit-Slicks for the Apple//e, Atari XL, and C64 , just in time for the Xmas holiday! The game supports up-to 4 players, local or online (using the Uthernet, DragonCart or RR-Net). 13 games servers are available, an...

Re: Networking Orics.

It has crossed my mind indeed, and I will try to find a way to stream both network and joystick data through the Arduino! :-)

Re: Networking Orics.

Hey guyz, I would like to contribute my views on the topic. For the past 18 months I have been programming a cross-platform online racer for Apple//, Atari, C64 using cc65 and IP65. The disks for these 3 platforms will be released next week (see: http://8bit-slicks.com). I am now starting the port t...

Re: Next Cumulus batch

I'm in too, completed the survey! :P

P.S: I am working on a cross platform game for all 6502 based 8 bit computers, including the Atmos.
