The last problem I have is to do with the SCART sound. It works fine, but there isn't enough resistence across the line to trigger the internal speaker cut off. I know it works because it cuts the speaker when plugged into my PC. I'll have a little play and see if I can rectify this. Interesting. I...

I agree with Dbug, in many ways Oricutron is more accurate than Euphoric, although for stability (here at least) and ease of use (primarily because i am very familiar with the controls) i prefer Euphoric. Oricutron emulates elements of the 6522 that Euphoric never did. It is also more accurate at so...

I was sure i raised another forum tail about this one.. i did suggest at some point that it would have been so cool to organise some sort of Oric thread at the show since currently (afaik) there is none and its supposed to reflect the Great British computer afterall!! Unfortunately due to health cra...

Interesting, i have never ever experienced that here and as for running it on a slow machine, how slow? because euphoric was originally designed to run on a 486 (i think) so by todays standards a slow machine is probably fast! Are you running it under DOSBOX? Not that this would cause the issue you ...

Better Tape handling suggestions for Oricutron

One of my main concerns with Oricutron is its current handling of Tapes. Personally i liked the Euphoric method (although seemingly a little convoluted) that allowed me to CLOAD"TOLTOP":CLOAD"TOLGAME". However the current (0.5) version of Oricutron does not permit this. One problem seems to be that ...

The only problem is that technically(And as far as i remember) April Fools jokes can only be administered on the morning of April fools day otherwise they do not count and should be treated otherwise.
Mr Dbug posted it in the afternoon i note. :P

This is just a little test program i have just written thanks primarily to Xeron.. the first app completely developed on my netbook with Oriculator (which whilst swearing blind) worked perfectly all through testing. I will use it to calculate the correct Timer (SID) values for each Wave Note. Some m...

The main drawback of SID was (until last night) that i had assumed only one interrupt could be processed at one time and that overlaying interrupts was not possible. For example the music routine runs on an interrupt and whilst it is executing it interrupts the SID sound from playing. This is demons...

There is a slight improvement you might try with the above keyboard routine.. Replace.. ldy #$dd sty via_pcr ;Scan for 9 Keys (0-8) ldx #08 .( loop1 lda KeyColumn,x sta via_porta lda #$fd sta via_pcr sty via_pcr with.. ldy #%10111101 sty via_pcr ;Scan for 9 Keys (0-8) ldx #08 .( loop1 lda KeyColumn,...

I don't think so, however when disassembling code on the Oric i always used to use ORION which uses a similar format to the above. The optional PDUMPO utility allowed you to dump it to a printer which on the emu you can easily pick up. Orion and the utility should be on Oric.org sw database otherwis...

That is brilliant Chema, after all these years of assuming 12 cycles, it may have been Fabrice who originally suggested the delay or it might have been reading the Atmos ROM, but then again the ROM will have a tendancy to lye on the conservative side of reliability :P I doubt specific keys will requ...

Comparison of EG waveforms between emulators and Real Oric

As suggested to Chema a while ago, this delay that needs to exist.. does it have a maximum? ie. why do we concentrate on trying to waste the right amount of time when (given the right scheme) we could branch off and do some other essential stuff before returning to read the keyboard key state. Obvio...
