Its quite do'able, but a little difficult - Oricutron would have to be turned into a library, and a GUI client app, written in Java, could be written to drive the library .. I am also doing some Android hacking so I will look at this in the next few weeks if you like .. but I agree that the Android...

Displaying a packed floating point number in C#

Hi,

I need to convert a packed floating point number as stored by the Oric to it's original value.

For example

Code: Select all

118 would be stored as #87 #66 #00 #00 #00
Can anyone tell me how I can convert it back to it's original value of decimal 118 using C#

Re: ROM disassembly

Hi Is there a commented disassembly of the Oric Atmos (or Oric-1) ROM available online? Or do I have to try and find a copy of the Advanced User Guide? Cheers, Pete Following on from this, has anyone managed to find a commented disassembly of the Oric-1 ROM? Would be very useful to go along with th...

MCP40 Output to BMP file

Hi, Does anyone know of a windows program that took the output from the Oric MCP40 plotter commands and created a bitmap image from them? I used it many years ago but I can't find the code anywhere and I can't remember what it was called something like MCP402BMP? Any help would be appreciated. Cheer...

Cheers.

Another thing I meant to ask, in the Monitor I noticed that you can use a Symbols file whilst debugging.

What format does this Symbols file need to be in?

Thanks

Hi Peter, Fantastic program, the debugger/monitor has been a big help trying to find a bug in some machine code that I'd written. One thing I would like to suggest if that's alright, would it be possible to have a black border instead of a dark blue one, just a personal thing :-) Another thing, in t...

Hi Symoon,

I've just seen the cover of the latest CEO mag and what did I spot... only a screenshot of Oric Explorer, wow :D

I definately need to subscribe to the mag to get the full article.

Thanks for your support.

Hi Symoon,

Wouldn't mind having this as an option in Oric Explorer, with your permission :D

Would you be able to supply the source code?

Hi Dbug,

Certainly would be better if you could host the file for me.

Where do I send the files to to be upload?
