Re: Oricutron HFE

Mmmm... not sure I explained myself properly. I agree with you, Steve. It would be great if Oricutron supported hfe, I was just stating that, as a maybe easier alternative, it could support esdk, for which there is already a two-way conversor.

Re: Oricutron HFE

In fact it does not need to support hfe directly, but any container format for which a conversion already exists. As I said before, Amstrad edsk is rather similar to Oric dsk and the HxC software can convert from hfe to it.

I put some links do information in some other post.

Re: Down arrow key not working on my Atmos

You may try to remove the cap and clean the contacts. Most of the times that solves the issue.

Ah, that makes more sense. It seems to be the usual signal issue almost always related to timing and the MAP signal.

PS: Dbug still has some very smart ideas on how to speed up the rendering ... but the problem is that he has more good ideas than I have courage.
Hehehe I know that feeling!

Superb work!

I was just wondering if the VIA is not the culprit: the ATMOS works but when something is connected to the printer port, then and only then an issue arises.
That makes absolutely no sense to me, unless (as you say) you have a somewhat faulty VIA chip, but I suck at hardware, so...

Re: HARD TO FIND GAMES

I agree with Dbug in that games that were great, but less known, were almost all converted to tap or dsk in the mid 90s, and uploaded to oric.org, and so became well known immediately :) When I had my Oric, very few titles were available in the local shops. My first Oric game was Zorgon's Revenge, a...

Re: Oricutron on Ubuntu

The guy just told me that the latest build using sdl2 is working for him. Thanks for the tip, though.

I remember having issues with the localisation with these latest versions in windows, but number keys not working was something I never experienced.

Re: Oricutron on Ubuntu

Has this keyboard issue been solved? There is a user in Facebook which seems to be unable to use oricutron because many keys (including numbers) do not work!

I am not sure where to point him to.

Piotr answered my email and I have been talking to him.
The Barbitoric demo also works and I hope it draws positive conclusions that will solve these problems for us.
Great! Keep us informed :)
