Re: 8bit-Unity version 0.3.5

These mice did not work for me: https://www.amazon.nl/gp/product/B000TAR608/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Brand new PS/2 mouse. No adapter. Does not do anything, does not even get power. Logitech B100 USB mouse with wheel with PS/2 adapter. Does not do anything either, no power. O...

- Ludo : https://www.oric.org/software/ludo-2519.html By the way: how did you get the screenshot at https://cdn.oric.org//games/software/l/ludo//screenshot_2519_SCREEN16.BMP ? It is very weird that it shows that half yellow pawn at the start field. That should not happen, never saw it myself in tes...

You can load Disks or Tapes using the menus.
Just to verify: it is correct you can not load your own images (yet)? Can only select files already on the server.

Otherwise: tremendous work!

Re: Good documented source code examples on viewing selected part of bigger game map

How many other C128 games have you produced ? Not that many more that are originally written by me and are worthwhile to port. Have many that are blatant rip-offs of type-ins for ZX Spectrum and C64 that I redid on the 128. But as copyright was a somewhat unknown term to me at that age  I of c...

Re: Good documented source code examples on viewing selected part of bigger game map

Hi, tried decreasing instead of increasing first, for some reason with that the colour attributes did not work correctly. Do not understand why as it should work, maybe something in the board data that I have wrong or something else I missed in the code in the order of decreasing y and the store ins...

Re: 8bit-Unity version 0.3.5

The shoutbox is part of the 8Bit OS image. I think still not publically distributed, got it via e-mail from 8 Bit Dude on request. http://8bit-unity.com/?p=669 On the time-outs: yeah, recognise that. But after 3 or four times it always works, so no big bother unless it is also unstable during a sess...

Re: 8bit-Unity version 0.3.5

Was indeed able to connect with mine also. But no one was online to play with (also I really suck at the game loosing big already against a computer on Easy).
So at me everything works, apart from the mouse.

Anyone getting the mouse working? Just to see if it is just my hub or a general issue.

Re: 8bit-Unity version 0.3.5

Mouse also does not work for me, while that mouse (USB mouse via USB to PS/2) adapter does work on my Commodore 128 via PS/2 to 1351 adapter. Shoutbox without mouse works with WASD keys for movement and Control for fire. Type message and click send. Cumbersome without mouse, but for me it works, apa...

Re: Good documented source code examples on viewing selected part of bigger game map

Thanks, that already helps.... also confirms that what I could come up with is not so crazy after all...

Was hoping for some hyper efficient standard routine. But your explanation makes sense.

So basically you have a map which is 89x71 (6319 bytes) and you want to copy some arbitrary rectangle part of it on a 40x25 screen, correct?
Correct.

Good documented source code examples on viewing selected part of bigger game map

Started a new project converting an old board game program I wrote decades ago on the Commodore 128 and quickly decided that to have any meaningful representation of the game board on screen is not possible viewing the whole board at the same time using only 25*40 characters. My original game used 2...
