For now I'll stick to the original resolution, that way I'll not have to redo the code
Unfortunately, you will still have to modify the code in order to only have six pixels per graphic byte... :-(

Anyway, keep up the good job ! :-)

Minigames 2006 : Go !

This year, the 1K category compo will end as soon as the 10th of May. So, it's time to start your minigame and maybe talk a bit of it in this forum: this way we won't have twice the same game on the Oric platform... Then, if you are more interested in the 4K category, you have up to August 31st to f...

There is a domain in which RCC16 can be improved thus, it's the handling of 8 bits values. I wonder how CC65 deals with that, but at least RCC16 backend generates lots of 16 bits operations for what is only 8 bits values. Unfortunately, it's not the backend that generates those 16 bits operations, ...

From what I tested so far, it seems that CC65 generates a way better code than RCC16. I depends on what you mean by "better" code... Rcc16 generates faster code than cc65, at the expense of bigger code. This is mostly due to the fact cc65 uses JSR calls to load operands whereas rcc16 uses a sequenc...

Hello 6502man :-) Does your Microdisc work with another operating system (for example OricDos) ? The RV1 potentiometer is used to adjust the eprom access cycle so that it does not interfere with the memory access of the ULA. You have to try every position (at most one turn in each direction) and pre...

Sorry for the delay, I was without web access last week... lcc or lcc65 was the name of the compiler driver that Vaggelis Blathras wrote at the beginning to chain the cpp preprocessor, the compiler itself, the cpp preprocessor again (because the assembler used at the beginning had no preprocessor) a...

Now please tell me I'm wrong, if I was sure of what I'm saying I wouldn't ask What a luxury of precautions, Simon :) You are perfectly right, the behavior of Wav2tap is not correct... I had coded this from memory, I thought that the synchro process would start from the beginning if a value differen...

However is their a better way to detect the Telestrat apart from the Second VIA? Good question, this has to be thought thoroughly... Detecting the ACIA instead of the 2nd VIA wouldn't be a definitive answer, because some serial extensions on the Oric also have an ACIA at the same address range... I...

Fabrice, you mentioned $314 could have had a better description, can you please expand ? This is because you talk about the FDC when in fact it is the Microdisc controller. For me, the FDC is the WD 1793 chip. Actually, the topic should be titled "the Microdisc controller"... And by refering to the...

It's a bit like plugging a 3.5" or 5.25" disc drive as secondary on a microdisc flat cable Absolutely... But "Microdisc connected to a Telestrat" seems to either mean you try to connect a microdisc controller to a Telestrat (that already has one integrated), or that you restrict the type of disc dr...

at 2 bit, one bit would be tied up as a polarity so effectively giving one bit step value, which is a bit small Not necessarily... Of course, it's not a lossless compression, so some differences between two successive samples cannot be coded, especially large differences... So, suppose you use a sm...

on the saving prompt, click on the "modify" button.
Can you read "modify" on this button ?
On my XP system, the button is nearly completely masked on the right, I can only see "Mo" on it
