Re: Little sound fx generator

I know how rewarding is to walk a path by oneself, but if you are interested I can provide any information you want. Thanks Chema, Yes, indeed the path we follow is interesting and rewarding. Thanks for the suggestion. A little extra information would be good to have. New ideas may appear, and some...

Another one 10 lines competition.

Hi :), A few days ago ISS showed me this link for the another competition. The rules are a bit more demanding, but I think ORIC has a better chance. I think the 72-character limit is due to "TRS-80 Micro Color Computer" There are two more weeks left until the deadline. This is another good opportuni...

Re: Little sound fx generator

Thanks! :) Its cool! Are you going to add a "scan ROM for synth values" feature, like Twilighte added to his all those years ago? That was fun, stepping through the ROM binary, using it to seed the synth chip with values .. No problem:). Show me this feature. I'm a bit surprised by: - some channel v...

Little sound fx generator

Hi all :), For the "jetpac" game I decided to make a small sound effects editor. Unfortunately the capabilities of this type of sound are limited, and I'm not sure if it will work for me. I haven't tested it completely, and there may be a bug I missed. I'm not even sure the interface is intuitive en...

Re: dflat - work in progress game and deployment question

On disk systems (Microdisc, Jasmin, Cumulus, Cumana Reborn, ...) a possibility would be to use a loader that loads everything in main memory (possibly compressed), and when loaded replaces the top 16k of RAM with your dflat "rom" content, and then runs your game. Мaybe this is the best way! Unfortu...

Re: Space Cowboy - Demo [raxiss]

I find it interesting the idea of NOX in the game O-Thrust, for more complete dynamic redefinition of the characters, but unfortunately there will be a problem with the colors and again the number of characters. One idea I had, was to try to do an hybrid mode, with odd lines in HIRES and even lines ...

Space Cowboy - Demo [raxiss]

Hi all :), This is a game I started a year and a half ago, and I haven't done anything about it in a year. I wanted to make a horizontal shooter, but moving the screen in text mode creates an unpleasant feeling. I don't particularly like it. I don't know if I will finish the game. For now, this proj...

Looks very good. I like. I think this is a good opportunity for a new kind of game. These colored textures look fantastic :). Congratulations.

Re: BASIC 10 Liner Competition - Oric Entry

Please share more 10-liners .. one thing I keep thinking when I look at these, is that they pack a lot of punch for 10 lines of code, but don't necessarily need to be 10 lines .. and can therefore probably pack a whole lot *more* punch .. These are my drafts of sent and unsent games : Moon landing,...

Re: BASIC 10 Liner Competition - Oric Entry

Thank you all (iss, Chema, jbperin, xahmol, ibisum, Dbug, 6502Nerd, Symoon), I am also very, very surprised by the success! I think this is a victory for ORIC, not for me. The main reason I wanted to participate was to get more people to know about this humble ORIC, and I think I succeeded. Thanks f...
