You know there are black versions of the HE10 :-)
Undoubtedly, but there’s no Digikey around where I live. :) The local store has only these light blue ones.

Re: ORIC SDCARD

I'm still not too fond of 3D printing for such cases but I must admit it looks way better than the Cumulus already! But why put the SD slot at the bottom and not on the top part (at the red-black junction)? On the other end I the blue SD part protruding from the Cumulus doesn't look that nice eithe...

Re: ORIC SDCARD

Thanks! I’m really happy with how it turned out. Of course, the case could’ve been a bit deeper, as the SD card module is sticking out from the back. I had to go with a guesstimate in regards of that when I was modeling the case. I still need to find some suitable self-tapping screws to put the case...

Re: ORIC SDCARD

I got the bottom half printed. This is actually the second attempt. The first one warped itself from the bed plus I had to make some adjustments into the model. https://www.dropbox.com/s/c2r3qwldhskbk9y/Photo%2030.1.2021%2C%2017.57.49.jpg?raw=1 https://www.dropbox.com/s/ltbsn5r013f17vz/Photo%2030.1....

Re: ORIC SDCARD

I finally got myself a 3D printer, so I was able to print my modelled case for Erebus. Below is the top piece. I’ll need to change to red filament in order to print the bottom.

Re: Need help with my oric 1

Stupid question on your 1st attepmpts: do you 1st plug the power supply to you wall plug, and then plug it to the Oric ? By doing it the other way (plug Oric 1st, then power supply) my Orics remain in this garbage boot screen. I’ve got best results with having PSU connected to both Oric and a mains...

Re: ORIC SDCARD

Is the file browser a separate program that needs to reside on the SD card or should it be loaded just by typing cload””? I transferred a few .tap files onto the root of the SD card and inserted it into the Erebus? If I type cload””, I just get ?memory error. Is there a size limit for the SD card? M...

I got the final missing piece for my Erebus with the arrival of the SD card reader. Gonna put some games on the SD card and try it later this evening.

Re: Atmos ROM

I tried booting with 1.1 ROM burned on the TMS27C128-2JL while Erebus was connected. At least it booted to basic. I couldn’t test accessing the Erebus as I don’t have a keyboard connected to this motherboard.

Re: Atmos ROM

Dusting up this thread. I checked out the two EPROMs that I’ve got. They’re:
TMS27C128-2JL
HN27128-AG-20

I don’t have any mass storage peripherals other than my half finished EREBUS, though. Did that also require /ROMDIS to function?

Re: ORIC SDCARD

I did minor tweaks into the bottom part of the case. I'd forgotten to add fillets into two corners. The updated file is in Dropbox. The link is the same.

Re: IJK-egopad the joypad for Oric by [raxiss]

So, would the Orics be able to communicate with each other, or can you just control two Orics with one joypad?

Perifractic at Retro Recipies is trying to achieve the latter. Although not with Orics, but for example with a C64 and an Atari 8-bit.
