Re: Oric-1 display problems

Update: after more experiments, the strange display problems are intermittent and not seemingly related to how long the machine has been on for. It might be the Oric and my monitor randomly not getting along. Removing and reinserting the SCART plug will reset the display to a good picture. I would ...

Re: Oric tapes not in TOSEC

Most games are in oric.org https://www.oric.org/software/attack_of_the_cybermen-986.html The few attempts at doing proper "software archives" were discouraged because people like me apparently were doing offensive requests such as "please keep the documentation, manual, nfo, etc..." with the games :...

Thanks!
I assume the ones in the two first lists are currently the ones you get if you download on oric.org?

Re: IJK interface diagrams.

Maybe time to start making an IJK-patched/compatible games compilation? Somebody commented on my joysticks video: @Dbug's stuff I made the Stingy as it worked as per the instructions. However not many games work with it. Not even the IM10 and recent homebrews. Shame. Still its easy enough to make a...

Re: TEAC FD-55GFR - best 5.25" floppy for retro hacking

Thanks :) For the ones wondering where this post came from, it was ISS's answer to me playing with a similar drive I got yesterday: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TL576uZWzuA For the ones wondering, KryoFlux is a usb disk controller, similar to the Greaseweasel/Catweasel devices, which can be used ...

There's one on eBay in Germany

I don't think DBuG has tested his already?
I have, but it's not turning at the right speed, so I will have to open it.

There's a BASIC and assembler way of doing that, page 52 of "Au coeur de l'Oric Atmos".

Using DEEK(176) you can read the current DATA pointer, and a DOKE can change it.

I myself suck at electronics, so I will let the knowledgeable people to answer :) And welcome. P.S. I hope I broke no forum rules... In that case, my apologies. There are no many rules, basically: - Respect other people and what they are doing - Sometimes people answer fast, sometimes nobody post fo...

Re: Looking for a Microdisc version of Loritel

So I tried the two versions, selecting JASMIN and SHIFT+F4 in Oricutron. The "3_Utilitaires_4_hfe_dsk" crashes on BOOTING TDOS at address $448, but I'm using the Oricutron 1.2 from the OSDK, and I see that the name contains "hfe_dsk" so I guess it maybe the bug that was fixed yesterday? The "DSKA000...

Re: Oric HFE file

My perspective is that most users have no idea what the difference between all these devices are, what is a clone of what, and that's amplified by all the tutorials that say "buy this" then do that so you can "reflash with this firmware", and to convert files "use this tool there". I personally have...

I can confirm that the version of Oricutron that comes with the OSDK, it's stuck on "insert system disc", with the cursor blinking.

Re: The BIKE Atmos system.

My point was just: more older sticker means more pain by removing :). I don't actually agree with that, many of the stickers I had on retro computers stuff, either on cardboard boxes, tapes, computers themselves, etc... are generally trivial to remove (undamaged) with a hair drier because the glue ...
