Re: Cumana Reborn DSK support

The "problem" is that the current loader regenerate the track instead to use the one present in the MFM DSK image. I remember that i had issues trying to use the tracks "as-it-is" + adding the missing clocks at the id and data marks. I am not sure why, so i want to retry this solution because i wan...

Re: Cumana Reborn DSK support

-> The libhxcfe library can be used to read/write HFE files. There is a simple FDC style API to access the image's sectors : (...) Let me know If you want some usage examples or if you have any question about this library. Yeah, that's quite a large API, sample code would be welcome :) Here is one ...

Re: Cumana Reborn DSK support

Well, I and many others (welll, every Oric user using a Gotek, HxC or Cumana Reborn device really) second DBug here: we really WANT Oric DSK support badly, because it really is a pain in the neck to have to perform DSK to HFE conversion, and then not being able to get our files back from HFE image ...

Re: Cumana Reborn DSK support

Question: as DBug raised the subject: if we want to install HxC onto a Gotek, do we have to go through the same steps as when installing FlashFloppy (as described at https://github.com/keirf/FlashFloppy/wiki/Firmware-Programming) or do we just have to put the firmware on the USB key ? I suspect we ...

Re: Cumana Reborn DSK support

-> The HxC Software currently support Oric DSK MFM_DISK export (read & write !), so both way conversion is possible : https://hxc2001.com/download/floppy_drive_emulator/HxCFloppyEmulator_soft_beta.zip (called "Oric DSK" in the menu) Would be brilliant! I follow closely FlashFloppy from the very beginning and can say honestly - IMHO it's the best solution!
But why technically speaking ?

Re: My new Cumana drive ;)

Just a question: will it possible to upgrade the FF firmware on your board (or even change it to HxC) ? Since this appears to be based on the Gotek hardware, yes you can switch to the HxC firmware : This can be done easily with just an USB stick, no need to have any programmer/usb cable/usb serial ...

It looks like that on Atari and Amiga, their FDC is able to do this, maybe our can do it?
This chip seems to support up to 256 tracks ;)

Re: Microdisc + Hxs floppy emulator problem

Hello, I just want to tell: I have tried Hxs + 3 different Microdisc and it don't work at all. It works with Cumana interface with no problem. Thinking about the problem I have thought it is about address buss buffering (Cumana buffers all the buss), but after thinking well I have found that the pr...
