Re: ORICART - smart cartridge for Oric by [raxiss]

This looks cool, how do you guys manage to handle so many projects, it's amazing - as a simple user I don't manage to follow anymore ;) You're talking about LZ compression, it the decompressing handled by the Oric, or by the card? (if made by the Oric, I'd be interested to try it to minimize tape lo...

Re: Rodman on Itch.io

Hi, I asked Misfit to add the Oric version of Rodman to the Itch.io page as it was previously only available on the physical special edition boxed set from The Future was Eight Bit. Hey thanks a lot to Misfit and to you for this! BTW I totally agree with Ibisum: a small delay with the keyboard resp...

Re: ORIC SDCARD

By loading the header, are we also talking of the 16 16 16 16 ... 24 synchro sequence? Or just the addresses, type/auto exec bytes, and possibly the filename? Option 2! The header starts after $24, the $16 / $24 sequence is never stored in RAM during the loading process. BTW, I realize the whole se...

Re: ORIC SDCARD

Do you have a link to the latest version? Here it is: https://sourceforge.net/projects/euphorictools/files/Tape%20tools/Novalight/ I took a quick look and actually Novalight doesn't do much: loading the tape header in page 2 (this is what ROM 1.1 does), and if ROM 1.0 is detected, copy the right by...

Re: ORIC SDCARD

Haven't coded in a while so I forgot a bit, but Novalight sets everything so an ASM or Basic program auto-runs fine on both ROM 1.1 or ROM 1.0 (with ROM calls though). The code is probably a bit compact and not easy to read, but at least it worked ;)

Re: Téléstrat frustration

BTW @Dbug, if I'm not mistaken, Telemon is the name of the system kernel and has to be present as a bank, on the left cartridge.
It's not present in cartidges such as the Oric/Atmos emulator, or (obviously) RAM cartidges.

Re: Téléstrat frustration

I agree Telestrat is a real mess, and no dedicated doc explains how to plug properly, how to build the right cables, plug the cartidges and so on. I started a doc about cartridges last year, but the Covid stopped me (my Telestrats are far from my living home). I also think I still have a cartridge a...

Re: Image mapping : Peer review needed

Looking great!
Is this already ASM-optimised, or is there potential room for speed improvement?

I think you guys are misleaded by the "page change effect", you should check page 1 of the thread for details ;)

Re: Cumana Reborn DSK support

Could it be something with the acess to the USB disk?
Did you try with a single HFE that works on the USB key, then deleting it and replacing it with a HFE that previously didn't work?
