Re: up loading files

As a user, a zip file is always way more handy to download. Beats having to download multiple files and organise so that they stay together on your local disk handsdown.
So personally I would always use zip even if the forum would support a higher file limit.

Re: Projects we are working on :)

Sounds terrific! Can not add much to the list I am afraid as I have chosen to give priority to Commodore 128 projects first, but certainly plan to revisit maybe later. Plan to port my just started C128 project to Oric Atmos later (will be a challenge as I now increasingly use the full 128 KB memory ...

Re: Cumana Disk Interface

That is weird... Why does Zaxon not ship to the UK ? Probably value added tax / import duty / regulatory safety requirements reasons. Brexit is making a mess on those, so I can imagine no seller from the EU voluntarily would be exposing themselves to the mess that the UK created for themselves.... ...

Re: Ludo game now truly multi platform

Thanks! No, I am not a developer by profession. Actually stopped coding when I started working, no time at the time next to a full time job and the study at the same time for first Certified Public Accountant (the Dutch variant of it) and Certified IT Auditor (again the Dutch certification). Work as...

Ludo game now truly multi platform

Not real new for here as the Oric Atmos version did not change since the release of my C version: but maybe of interest that I now also finished my TI-99/4a and Commodore 128 (80 column) ports. In 1992 I wrote a C128 80 column version of the game LUDO in BASIC. With the retrieval of my old hardware ...

Re: English version of SEDORIC documents

Would have loved having them when I last year started to learn SEDORIC from the French manual and Google translate 😉

Thanks!

Re: Another one 10 lines competition.

Congrats Rax!
(Somewhat late to the congrats party, come here less frequently lately as I am very busy at a Commodore 128 project now and therefore not so much on the Oric…..)

Re: Lode Runner for Oric by [raxiss]

Haha! Load Runner! Have the original (and still working) Commodore 64 floppy still. One (of my admittingly very few) not 'unofficial copied' games. Curious how the Oric version will compare soon, but great to have another game where I can do a side by side comparison on two screens with the C64 vers...

Re: use OSDK under Linux ?

Thanks again Iss! With your pointers, adapted the make file to execute the disk in emulator using make run. And did some further variable optimizations. Added make run-debug as well, seems to work, but really have to delve into how to create the necessary files from the CC65 compiler. Never used thi...

Re: use OSDK under Linux ?

Update: Now have my Oric build chain fully converted to Linux (Ubuntu): - CC65 compiled for Linux - OSDK compiled for Linux - Oricutron compiled for Linux - and even the HxC software tools compiled for Linux, including a command line version to include in my Makefile. To investigate: - OricExplorer ...

Re: use OSDK under Linux ?

I am certainly going to use make, as I use that already on my TI, Commodore and Spectrum projects. Like the flexibility of make, but your project management system probably is way more advanced ;-) Actually was already using a makefile for my Ludo game to build the binaries from source under WSL, ju...

Re: use OSDK under Linux ?

Question (and sorry to be a Linux n00b): If I try to build using the makefile under Linux, first thing I encounter is that it includes a rules.mk which seem not to be included. What should be the content of that file? And would the absence of that file why I, after commenting out this include for ru...
