California Devices Inc and the HCS10017

In this forum you can write about anything that does not fit in other forums.
This includes generic Oric talkings and things that are totaly unrelated but want to share with people here :)

OK, if anybody finds C19, I want it back!

That really could be the difference -- the lack of decoupling capacitor across the rails close to the chip allows the voltage on the d6 databus/pins to spike nastily when the other ICs are better behaved. It does say "additional signals", meaning noise. Nice one :)

"It's not a bug, it's a design feature".

Really? Is it really that we needed to squeeze in a resistor down there, and there wasn't space to fold the capacitor over it?

I guess that anyone who tried to make a device for the Oric that connects on the expansion port can testify about how "reliably" the hardware behaves :)
