Microdisc controller + Amplibus, do you want another batch? CLOSED LIST.

This is the right place to discuss on how to implement hardware vsync, adding a VIA or AY chipset, puting multiple roms, or how to design a new flash expansion card.

Microdisc controller + Amplibus, do you want another batch? CLOSED LIST.

Post by Silicebit. »

Well, because I've received several petitions for more controllers, I open this thread.

I need minimum ten persons to begin another batch, but be patient, I'll begin the next batch when the current one is finished.

The price of controller is 50 euro, and Amplibus 5 euro. Shipping cost (international signed with tracking number for Europe + Greenland, parcel from 100grs up to 500grs) is 10.15 euro, TOTAL = 50 + 5 + 10.15 = 65.15 Eur. Shipping cost updated.

The slave unit doesn't have controller, you need a controller, and the Amplibus must be used for correcting problems with bus signals.

Pluto63 was the first person in asking for another batch, for that reason, he is the first in list. :-)

About the Amplibus... Amplibus can be used with other devices such as original Microdisc and Cumana boards, and generally, any other device which needs regenerated signals.

What Silicebit designed and is building is a Microdisc-compatible controller, not an SD-device such as Cumulus. This is the thread with pictures and info: http://forum.defence-force.org/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=1057

You need to plug in a floppy drive (up to four of them can be used with one controller). For what I know it works well with 3" 5'25" or 3'5" FDDs or a compatible floppy emulator such as HxC. You also need a PSU.

What I can say is that it is really nicely done and works flawlessly.
