Noisy Atmos
Hi all, my Atmos works fine, but makes both a high frequency whine (which I can't hear but the kids can and it drives them mad!), and a whirry-buzzy (!) sound which I can hear. Do they "all do that" or is this something I can fix please?
Re: Noisy Atmos
Mine do that but only during the boot sequence when the memory is filled with the black and white band patterns, after that it gets silent.
Are you using the original PSU or a replacement?

Re: Noisy Atmos
It's a replacement (9v, 600ma).

Re: Noisy Atmos
So it's not the PSU because I dug out my other "broken keyboard" (see other thread ) Atmos and it doesn't make the same noise with the same PSU. So any hints on what I might need to repair or replace on the board of the noisy one still much appreciated.
Re: Noisy Atmos
From where come these sounds ? (from internal speaker or from attached TV).
Else, if something need to be replaced then the "usual suspects" are AY-3-8192 or/and VIA6522.

Re: Noisy Atmos
It's from the Atmos itself, hard to say from exactly where.
