I made a simple tool for windows. This program gives character definition numbers when you draw image on 6x8 matrix area.
I know its so simple tool. In the beginning, I was planning to load Oric character database, change any character by this tool and save the character memory data as .tap file but then it gets complicated
Still I have intention to do such a detailed PC utility but this is just for the beginning
You can download it from here :

I've made a simpler thing for this too. An excel file with a simple macro to clear cells.
You just write 1 to 6x8 matrix cells to calculate character edition data.
