Heya all,
forgot to make the announcement here, but here is the one I made on comp.sys.oric about the (new?) emulator I'm working on :
Hey little guys,
after some day of work, x86 assembly patches, C and GTK hacking, AUG
close reading, it's here. Yes, here.
I'm quite proud to announce the first alpha (I insist on this word)
version of Caloric, a fork of Xeuphoric. As you are all busy or drunk,
here is a quick list of the features from the website :
* complete debugger with step by step execution and, currently not implemented, breakpoints;
* disassembler with symbols;
* AY-8912 registers dump;
* memory watcher (including stack);
* 6502 registers and flags dump;
* PAL/UHF emulator (currently in progress)
* Graphical display of any part of memory (kinda usefull for looking for graphics in a game for example)
* 100% Compatible with any C99 compiler (ahah, don't dream about this before some months, there's still a huge amount of x86 assembly)
* autoconf/automake based build system
Everything should be clear as cheap beer when you will read the website,
located at http://caloric.anarcho.fr/ .
I'm open to *any* suggestion, although everything is currently in an
_alpha_ state, as I said. I'll try to keep the developpement as open as
possible, as soon as I'll released the final 0.1 version, which should
not take that a long time now. I'm particulary looking for three things:
1/ Close pictures of UHF/SCART TV sets, with the same picture displayed
on an emulator without any filter
2/ Windows porter
3/ Mac OS X porter
That's all, folks.
Have fun, and remember that remembering is cool.
