Oricutron 1.0 (EDIT: Now 1.2)
Re: Oricutron 1.0
Thank you very much, Xeron. I haven't had a play with it yet but I have bookmarked for later toying. I am particularly looking forward to having my first go with a Telestrat emulator

Re: Oricutron 1.0
The Telestrat emulation's great! I'm currently having fun finding games for it to add to the Gamebase and have already found a different version of Lode Runner to the one listed on Oric.org. I'm also trying to complete a long-play of "The Ultra" now that the fire button is working correctly, however so far no success. It seemed so much easier when I was younger

Re: Oricutron 1.0
When starting Oricutron 1.0 I can Cload a file by typing CLOAD"FRED" (WITHOUT having to "insert tape" first) and it picks up fred.tap from the tapes directory.
Subsequently, I can't then type CLOAD"DAVE" (I have to manually "insert tape" first).
Not sure if it's always been like this or if it's a bug or a feature (I'm writing a program that uses two TAP files and it will be a bit clunky if I have to manually "insert tape" each time.)
any thoughts?

Re: Oricutron 1.0
hmm... it used to work... I think if there is a tape inserted, and it is at the end, it WILL go and look for the new tape. If it is not at the end, it doesn't know if you want to insert a new tape, or if you want to load something called dave that might be later on the tape.
EDIT: I think (and it is from memory), if you do CLOAD "DAVE.TAP" it takes it as a hint that you want to load a tape image called dave.tap.
EDIT2: But what you should do really is concatenate the two tape images, then it will be the same as on a real oric, i.e. all on one tape. Just stick a bunch of extra $16 bytes before the second image.

Re: Oricutron 1.0
Thanks xeron I'll give it a go tomorrow.
Re: Oricutron 1.0 (EDIT: Now 1.1)
1.1 has just been released for windows. AmigaOS 4.x build will arrive in the next few days. Other ports depend on other people
Changes since 1.0:
All:
* Now possible to set scanline and fullscreen options when built without OpenGL support
* Includes patches and symbols for Pravetz 8D rom
* Disk and tape image autodetection. Oricutron will now attempt to detect the configuration required for any disk or tape inserted via commandline or menu.
* "Insert disk 0/1" menu items enabled even when no disk drive is enabled. Inserting a disk will use the autodetection routines to determine which drive type to enable.
* Autorun for Jasmin and Pravetz disks
* Fixed crash bug when switching between software and GL rendering on builds using SDL requesters.
* Various AY emulation improvements
* Simplified system timing
Windows:
* Clipboard paste support
Linux:
* Now defaults to building with OpenGL support
* Clipboard paste support
* GTK filerequester and messagebox
* Fixed audio click on startup

Re: Oricutron 1.0 (EDIT: Now 1.1)
Great news! Altough I'm still in love with Euphoric, it's great to see Oricutron updated and improved frequently. Thanks Xeron.
That being said, how can it be used? I didn't find anything in the manual and saw no paste option in the menus?
This is the kind of detail that can change coders' lifeXeron wrote: Windows:

Re: Oricutron 1.0 (EDIT: Now 1.1)
@xeron...working fine for me. But can I make a suggestion?
I knocked up a quick basic program in windows notepad and pasted it into oricutron. I forgot that basic keywords are upper case so the program would not run.
Would it be possible to add some pre/post processing to detect what is being pasted and adjust to upper-case if necessary?
@peacer...excellent

...and the OS4.x build is up!
@barnsey
Hmmm.. probably not a simple job to detect what chars to mess with.. we'll see.
