Re: Infocom games Z-machine

I agree with you guys, anyway I tend to forget my initial idea for such a project, which was: transfer disks with the minimum specific hardware (hence the sound transfer).
Anyway, I'm off-topic there, sorry for having brought this in the thread ;)

Re: Infocom games Z-machine

Yep. You just have to fresh format an MSDOS (FAT) disk and copy the adventure data file there. After booting pinforic it asks for the game disk and uses it for loading but also for saving the game progress. Wait wait wait. My mind may be over-simplifying things as it often does, but are you saying ...

Re: ZX Vega: the Spectrum's return

Yeah, but if I am not mistaken it is just a (really expensive) Bluetooth keyboard, which you can use as controller for iOS or android devices together with a simulation software. If I'm not mistaken the video said you could plug in on any modern TV, so I suspect there's at least some emulator insid...

Re: OASIS very very early alpha tech demo

Problem with the extra key is that it is difficult to support joysticks. If you are talking of the user point of view: depends on the joystick type. Some games like Mercenary were designed for a combination keyboard + joystick. Too bad for the ones that required two hands ;) BTW I would suggest not...

Re: OASIS very very early alpha tech demo

About the mouse thing, I agree with Dbug and also hate the games where finding that hidden object is key for solving a puzzle. But I guess that is the designer's fault. I toyed with the idea of having some intelligent cursor placement as an option, but then again Gozil has a point: you don't want p...

Re: Asteroids (from Arctic Computing) bug

Symoon - thanks for pointing this out and for engaging in a neat investigation of this issue .. do you think its worth trying to release a 'fixed' version of this ASTEROIDS game now that you know whats up, or is it just a curiosity at the moment .. ? I was just victim of the bug, apart from asking ...

Asteroids (from Arctic Computing) bug

Ibisum, I saw your message on Oric.org about Asteroids bug. Here is the bug explanation Fabrice sent me in October 2008 (my English translation, then the original French text): So here is the result of my investigations, there is indeed a problem with the keyboard routines. Five similar routines , l...

I do think Maximus did - but he'll confirm himself I guess.
The boss of Norsoft also posts on Oric.org forums from time to time, so he certainly didn't miss it.

Re: Tyrann for Android smartphones

IIRC I gave Maximus the contact info for the Norsoft team, and I think they are aware of Tyrann 3 project.
So it's fine on Norsoft side (not GoT though, I don't have any contact info there ;-) )

Tyrann for Android smartphones

Hi there,
Take a look on Google Play, Tyrann for smartphones has been released yesterday. It was made by the complete original Norsoft team. You should find an English version.

I don't have the required hardware to try it, so let us know how it feels!
