Re: Microdisc controller + Amplibus, do you want another bat

Hi all Oric fans!

The list is complete and closed.

After my vacations, in half of september, i'll begin with orders of materials and PCBs.

I don't need money in advance.

Stay tuned in september! :)

Ah! And happy holiday. :D

@Vyper68. You have a private message waiting for you one month ago!! I'll wait for your response until end of july. If i don't receive a response from you, the controller will pass to the first person in the following list (Pluto63).

Regards.

Symoon wrote:Very nice from you. Actually, this is not my first controller so I had disks already - so if you ever want me to send them back to you or directly to someone else that bought you a controller, just let me know ;)
Don't worry Symoon, reuse it, or you can give it to another person who needs them. :-)

Re: Copyrights, rights and similar things

When you are doing modifications to source code of another person and you redistribute it, you are doing a derivative software from original. To port a game or application to another platform, you must modify the source code to adapt it to the new platform. Then you are doing a derivative software. ...

Re: Copyrights, rights and similar things

I think the idea is not to restrict the author of the game/demo/whatever, but instead to restrict what other people can do with it. I've no problem with Chema or Twilighte wanting to monetize their games (assuming they are original IPs, not ports of old games), what I don't want is people selling m...

Re: Interested people in controller Microdisc or AmpliBus.

My pleasure, Symoon! :-) I hope you enjoy very much with your controller.

Normally, if you haven't other disk controller (original Microdisc or Cumana board), i send two disks as starting kit, one with Sedoric 3.0 and another one with very good game, but not very well known, Magnetix.

Re: Interested people in controller Microdisc or AmpliBus.

I would not recommand to do that. Overloading the regulator is not an issue, if will just get hotter and hotter, and the heatsink is even barely enough for the oric itself. There are anyway some internal protection into the 7905 so no risk of killing it. Yes, the 79xx and 78xx series have an intern...

Re: Interested people in controller Microdisc or AmpliBus.

3.- Set the jumper 5V->33 and use the Oric PSU to power the Oric, and through Oric, power the controller. This not recommended because you can overload the internal regulator of Oric. Buf! Has anybody ever tried this? Anyway you still have to power the FDD with an external source, don't you? I have...

Silicebit , I would like to say a BIG thank you for your professional work! Everything is perfect including packaging ;) Thank you, iss. :-) I'm happy to see that the parcel has arrived in good conditions. :-) To power the system (Oric+controller), you have two options (well, really you have three)...

Re: Microdisc controller + Amplibus, do you want another bat

I have recently bought a Flopper which will work perfectly.. http://www.sellmyretro.com/offer/details/Flopper,-budget-USB-floppy-emulator-10973 You need the controller AND the Amplibus. The Oric bus signals are too weak and noisy. You will also need a floppy disk drive (3.5, 3 or 5.25). Alternative...
