I think I solved it, but need further testing.

This was a hard one to find. I hope there are not more severe bugs around, so I can release v 1.1 soon.

Sorry for the inconvenience, and thanks to Shaun for the exahustive testing.

Maybe I am saying something stupid, but did you try to execute writedsk under DOS (or win95)?

Maybe winXP is the reason for it failing?

It is about the Telestrat hardware, I think. First of all the way overlay is selected (you switch banks through the second VIA instead of activating overlay ram), but also I think it won't boot sedoric. If you boot StartSed, Fabrice told me that there are many changes, such as unability to load the ...

Ibisum, didn't I mention before that 1337 WON'T work in a Telestrat?

The controller is microdisk compatible, but many other things aren't. Maybe with the stratoric cartridge... but I could never test that on Euphoric (the telestrat emulation hangs with stratoric).

Sorry guys...

Indeed Shaun, that is why we are desperately asking for help in designing a disk-compatible SD interface for the Oric. You store your disk images in an SD, plug it in, and play in your little machine! On another (even more important) matter, Shaun has found out a BUG (and more than one by now) in 13...

Any news on this project? I'd love to hear *any* result... even partial results or problems that appeared.

I may be wrong, as I never did this myself, but there used to be a tool (writedsk? check http://oric.free.fr/TOOLS/) to accomplish this...

Obviously you need to have a disk drive of the correct kind in your PC.

Indeed this is a common problem we could try to solve somehow. If only we could get Fabrice to come and help here... About the telestrat, he told me that the only easy way to port this games to the Telestrat was having it booting with stratoric. Else (booting Stratsed) even the memory map is differe...

Oops... I am not sure if this will be bad news... This game, as well as Space:1999 requires and Atmos (an Oric-1 could do aswell, not sure) and Microdisc (not Jasmin or other controller). I have pondered supporting the Telestrat many times, but it requires some changes in the way disk is accessed, o...

Ok, the intro is ready. I am waiting for Dbug's approval and, if there are no big changes, the game will be released later on this week... It has been an exciting work, with a lot of challenges to solve and I have learned a lot. It could not have been done without the help of many people, and the co...

Chema, glad to read the game is on its way. Finishing a project is always the hardest part IMO. Good luck! Yep, it is the hardest part with all the polishing and testing. In this case this is even more difficult than in Space:1999, due to the open nature of the game and its complexity. The intro is...

Hi guys.

Just wanted to tell you that we have been working in the intro and it is quite finished. Twilighte has offered help in tweaking some pics, which is great news.

I think we will be able to release the game in september, so be prepared!

Disk has the advantages you mention but it also demands much more work to push the limits (as Chema put it) and fill the disk with(admittedly) cool stuff. As a note, I did not mean "push the limits" of the machine, that is already done in your games and in the demos... I meant I could con...
