Re: Powered scart lead for Oric RGB to Scart TV required

I forgot to update this thread: I got it working by setting "OVR"-mode on the display first, turning on the Oric. Works great .. and I have to say, is a very crisp display for the humble machine.

Re: personal computer world review April 1983

I remember reading this very issue, had it in my hands for months before Oric-1 finally arrived in Australia .. very exciting times. Hope we can find it and get it scanned somehow ..

Nice article on developing for the C64

.. maybe you guys saw this already, but this is a cool article on a newbies effort to write software for the C64 in the modern age - a very decent endeavor, well described: http://www.retrogamescollector.com/the-bear-essentials-developing-a-commodore-64-game/ Good stuff .. I particularly like the sc...

Looks amazing .. although I was never a huge fan of these kind of point 'n click adventures, I'm sure looking forward to playing what you come up with on the Oric! Amazing times ..

Re: Networking Orics.

I think Godzils' board will allow us to interface to anything that might be usable with a UART, or even I2C. The ESP chips can be wired up easily enough.. and then its just like good old modem "AT commands" to do any wifi control, or we can even write a custom driver *on the ESP* (it has a...

Re: Networking Orics.

I've been doing a lot of programming with the ESP chip lately .. using it to build an IoT system .. and you're right Chema - it would be a pretty easy way to give the Oric wifi capabilities! The only thing holding me back is not knowing how to wire it up properly to the Oric without doing damage .. ...

Re: Saving tape games to diskettes..

Monster and Code Master sound like familiar type-in's from somewhere .. ZAP magazine, or something? What was Oricle about? Its a very blank page: http://www.oric.org/software/oricle-260.html

EDIT: PS; your hardware setup is pretty nice!

I've got a spare Atmos in case you want it? I'd be happy to send it to you for the cost of shipping, if you're going to use it to bring more DSK's to the world ..

Re: Any spare French books ?

I would love to have any spare English books you have - they're very hard to find out here in Austria, and my kids are hacking away on the Oric and need any books we can find. Cost?
