Re: Wizard's Lair - [raxiss]

Re: Free Petscii Robots for the Oric-1 / Atmos
Thats really nice to see the Oric featured like that .. hope this will gain a bit more of visibility for our machine in that context.
Would be cool to see what could be done with colours, but I guess thats a thread for another time ..

Re: Wurlde - Game Development Forum
It really astounds me to see WURLDE over the years, it is just a truly timeless place. Every time I wonder at the reflections and the delightful solutions to Oric's unique colour capabilities, it just transports me into a world that could have been. Those fountains! Twilighte you delightful human be...

Looks absolutely enticing.
If there is an ESP32 shield in the future, I'm all-in.

Re: Upgrade Time: Encounter
Excellent progress, Dbug.
Your aesthetic is very appealing - as I see these transitions and details in your demo's, I can't help but be reminded of early multimedia engines such as Hypercard and so on.
Also, the monochrome style gives me real early Macintosh vibes.

Re: Mageco MIDI interface
Opto-copling really only needs to be done once. Nasty cables is what its for. It is not uncommon to see it only on the IN, as that is after all where the protection happens. If there's a chance to be included in any PCB batches, count me in. I've wanted MIDI on my Oric since the very early days. Apr...

Re: I'm looking for the game "Rico's Gulf"
Its a painful thing to hear such assets being lost to the winds of time .. I had my own "ORIC" branded tape collection for quite a while, with little things I'd written .. would also love to see it all now, it consumed many hours of my teenage life and was a kick-start to what has been a l...

Re: Items for sale
I'd be quite a bit happier to sell some of my Oric gear on DF than anywhere else.

Re: BASIC 10 Liner Competition - Oric Entry [2023]
Honestly this is astonishing news - 3 years in a row now, Oric is coming out on top - and while I do believe that RAX is a MASTER of our platform, I think that it is also very indicative that our little machines are pretty well optimized for such antics. I keep wondering how such delightful games as...

Re: oricOpenLibrary by [raxiss]
Very nice work, thanks so much for sharing! This is a cheeky bit of code: #define basic(str) {_basic_s=((char*)(str)),_basic();} Why the , instead of a ;? .. Does this instruct CC65 to place the retval from _basic() into basic_r? If so, int-er-esting .. EDIT: okay, I've read the rest of the library ...

Re: RETROVIV 2023 in Vienna, featuring MUCH Oric stuff
But Vienna in Austria is too far What about in Australia  ... As an Australian, living in Austria, I'd invite my Vienna, Australia friends to kindly watch out for misdirected mail that might have my name on it .. Vienna is already on my "places to visit (again)" for 2024 - no fixed t...

Re: RETROVIV 2023 in Vienna, featuring MUCH Oric stuff
I suppose it is the "West place (old WU)"? Yes, indeed! Very easy walk from the Spittelau station, and indeed you look for the signs that point "WEST" once you get to the "old Wien University" (altes-WU) .. This Thursday is the 'official' bit, where we'll do some demo'...
