Re: oric sur moniteur RVB ?

Here are the pictures. This is my Pravetz with 7-inch LCD from broken portable DVD player. (The UHF modulator is removed since long time ago, of course you can leave it as is). IMG039.jpg Output signals: white = GND, red = 5V, green = composite video IMG041.jpg This simple 1 transistor inverter adju...

Re: oric sur moniteur RVB ?

Most probably your device has only AV-input - this is CVBS or as Dbug already said input for composite video signal. You can use external RGB to Composite converter (simply search e-bay), relatively not cheap solution but it works. Else, if you like hardware hacking, there are 2 possibilities (atlea...

Re: Fast scrolling game howto, anyone?

IIUC, here is my very quick idea: having one universal loader with correctly set name in tap header, when started, it checks for its unique name in 'last loaded program' buffer, if the check succeeded continue with tape loading routines, else switch to disk loading. But probably the case is more dif...

Re: Using Overlays with OSDK

There is another problem with CC65 - it doesn't support any Oric OS (fopen/fread/fclose are unimplemented), so loading overlays from disk must be written from zero. I like CC65 but in this case I doubt it's worth to be used. Chema's idea is nice, clear and already tested :). Else, program overlays c...

Re: How to build a cable to plug a tape device ?

I think labels Data_In and Data_Out have the meaning 'where to plug into recorder' - so the picture is correct :).

Re: Oricutron Jasmin auto-boot not working

Nice fix! I can confirm that above patch allows Oricutron to load Jasmin images.
( i.e. under Linux this works: $ ./oricutron -m 1 -k j -d disks/ftdos.dsk )
I'll wait day or two, if nobody commits the patch, I'll do it :)

Re: Cumulus Issues

Thanks Godzil. I'm lucky that my 6502 is on socket, so it will be easier to solder the transistor. I'll post a picture when ready.

Re: Cumulus Issues

I'm very interested in 'Phi2 TR amplifier' and other 'Phi2 amplifier' shown in NightBird's table. What are this amplifiers? Does someone have more info about them? I have one Pravetz with positive pulse of Phi2 looking just like triangle :) So, I want to fix this but if there is already solution I p...

Re: Another Microdisc compatible.

Indeed! It's great to have reliable hardware.
After I recovered my cumulus still wondering how cumana, microdisc and bunch of native Pravetz-8D controllers are
working like charm with Pravetz-8D but cumulus doesn't.

Re: Cumulus Issues

As I previously wrote I burned my cumulus trying to use it with Pravetz-8D. Now I'm happy - my cumulus is successfully resurrected :D. Fortunately no hardware was burned - just the first 1k from the firmware memory in the PIC micro-controller was set to zero! I compiled the sources, upload the firmw...

Oricutron for android (POC)

EDIT: New release is available in this post . This days I coincidentally found an interesting build system targeting android, which allows almost *ANY* SDL application to be easily and quick ported to android. The build system is here: https://github.com/pelya/commandergenius Adding just 1 config f...

Re: A new well-known compiler

@Godzil: Good points. I agree with you. @Dbug: Yes, currently I have OSDK and CC65 working side-by-side. I'm using common Makefile per project, so it's easy to compile everything with both toolchains. And yes, CC65 seams to be actively developped (unfortunately most changes are related to Commodore)...
