Re: Multi-Key Handling

Great article Dbug!

You suggested me this method years ago and it works so well I've been using it since :)

I even had a demo, but was not as nice as this one, which showed just a matrix of 0s and 1s (1s for the keys being pressed).

It was indeed a smart idea!

Re: OSDK .tap takes a bit too long to load ..

If I recall correctly it is not related to unused areas, but to the important overhead needed by the C code (managing the stack frame, params, type handling..) plus the size of the libraries that the code uses... although I think a lot of effort was put to reduce them to the minimum.

Re: Oric.org updates

I had that game back then (always loaded with errors, so sometimes crashed in the middle of a game session). It was quite slow. I always wondered how a "revamped" version with hi-res graphics and colors and written in machine code (or at least, C) would look and play like :)

Re: Microdisc Restoration

What an interesting thread. I always liked the Microdisc a lot, but I don't have one. On the matter of reading/writing 3" discs, I think the most convenient way is either using a greaseweazle with such a drive, or fitting the Microdisc with a second 3.5" unit or, better yet, a gotek so you...

Uh... I made a mistake then I opened an html file. This is good for automatic translation, but it was not complete. I'll double check.

Something from Twilighte, as a homage, would be a nice touch. Damn, he is indeed missed

Yes, but a) it is in French and b) online version lacks formatting and, most importantly, the last annexes :(

Re: new (may be not new) Sedoric bug found (all versions)

It would be nice to have an article on all the different versions, bugs and features. I did not know so many versions existed!

Also for the rest of OSes in the Oric. There is little tech info on them...

Re: Happy New Year!

Unfortunately, 2023 has been a bad year both for my personal life, for my country, and for the world due to wars and all other troubles. Thousands of people are dead due to big earthquake in the beginning of 2023 in Turkey. The Chinese yin-yang philosophy says that everything in life is in balance....
