Re: Gamebase Oric V3.0
Hi Guys, Just a quick message to say that the Gamebase project is not dead but currently in Limbo. I've just been through a rather unpleasant relationship break-up and have been forced to sell my house. I should be moving within the next four weeks and will hopefully be able to get my life back on t...

Re: FGC company history ?
Wasn't this the same company also named HGC? They changed name from HGC to FGC or vice versa, if I'm remembering them correctly. The H stood for Home, instead of F for Financial. Also released Bucaneer, Fly For Your Life, Maze Rally and others. Or have I just made all that up? My memory is a little...

Re: Gamebase Oric V3.0
I should mention that the problem with Oricutron only occurs when games are launched via Gamebase, probably something to do with the script it uses not changing the default directory that the emulator points to. Loading split file games outside of Gamebase seems to work fine with all the files in on...

Re: Gamebase Oric V3.0
Hi Didier, all the games you listed as incomplete are actually complete, however they are all games with split files. The missing files you are looking for can be found in the following directory:- Gamebase/Oric/Emulators/Oricutron/Tapes For some reason, split file games will only load in Oricutron ...

Re: Gamebase Oric V3.0
Thanks for clearing that up Steve, I'll add all those new games to my Gamebase before the next version. I've just treated myself to an all-singing and dancing Gaming PC which I am spending most of my spare leisure time on now. Once the novelty wears off I will get back to adding games to the Gamebas...

Re: Gamebase Oric V3.0
I know what you mean. I could have cried after typing in the HUGE listing of 'Singerie' that was spread across several Theoric Magazines, only to discover a TAP file for the game a few months later !!

Re: Gamebase Oric V3.0
Love this release, there are some quirky gems in this package .. most interesting game of the bunch so far (for me anyway) is EATIE SWEETIE from the CZES.DSK .. its hilariously lame (don't touch the wall), but surprisingly playable if you get into it .. ;) Well, anyway, its really fun going through...

Re: Gamebase Oric V3.0
Thanks for the files Steve! The Gamebase is currently on hold for a few months so I can enjoy doing other things. I will however return to it and release an updated version when the time is right. I'm still collecting files and listings in the meantime so that I will have many new things to add when...

Re: 4 softwares for you !
I see the first six CEO-SOFT disk images have been uploaded to Oric.org, one of which contains the game 'Ankhsenamon'. Awesome!!

Re: 4 softwares for you !
I wish I had a 2nd or 3rd life to update Oric.org .. . => I transfered Mission Impossible in 2011 ;) So do I !! Please find a 2nd or 3rd life Symoon!! :D I've noticed there has been a few updates to Oric.org over the last week, including a few new games. This is why I love working on my Gamebase. J...

Thanks Musepat. Mission Impossible has now been added to my Gamebase along with the inlay scans. Another game I had never heard of.

Re: Gamebase Oric V3.0
I've just read the last few posts and in particular the one from Didier made me feel like I was being foolish. I will continue with my Gamebase, which I certainly do enjoy compiling. Like I said there's barely enough new material to add, but when I do add it, along with new discoveries along the way...

Re: Gamebase Oric V3.0
I'll leave it alone completely for a few months and then see how I feel, hopefully I will then be motivated again to carry on. To be honest I barely have enough material left to add another 100 games so there's no real rush. If there's another release next year then I'll get it right and include doc...

Re: Gamebase Oric V3.0
Here's one that springs to mind. The game comes in three parts which I joined using a program called 'Simple File Joiner'. The joined files work fine in Oricutron (you need to type RUN though), but not in Euphoric. I know it's in HIRES mode for this example, but other joined files have just said 'FO...

Re: Gamebase Oric V3.0
I know what you are saying Dbug and you are right, however this is not a commercial product and I originally started it for my own pleasure and convenience then decided to share it. I presumed anyone downloading it would be familiar with the Gamebase software and know how to install it. Still, doesn...
