:) Really nice story and photos, Antiriad!

I am sure you had an excellent time at Replay Expo.

Many many thanks for your support and for showing the world what our little Oric can do.

How did the show go? Were you able to demonstrate the game on a real Atmos in the end? Any photos? :)

Yeah I am using a laptop+audacity, but now I am thinking that my connection cable is not reliable enough. I've used a 5 pin DIN to get sound output as well as tape in and out because my internal speaker (in the Oric) does not work (go and guess why). All the connections were made as a first test and...

Got it working now. Bizarrely, loading the wav file at full volume from my ipod worked! Great news! I am starting to think that I may have some real errors when loading the game in my real atmos too... After having my son playing for a long time, bugs appeared even when I thought the game had loade...

Hi guys. No success. I tried with the -11 option, with and without a silence at the end, at different volume settings... The game still loads, but it does not auto-run. I think there are no loading errors (most of the times), as issuing a call #500 still makes the game run flawlessly. Still the x10 ...

Have you used the -11 switch with tap2wav, for the WAV file you wanted to load on the real machine ? For real machines, 11khz files are much more reliables than Euphoric's 8khz file (which is produced by default if you don't use any switch with tap2wav). Ah... I forgot the -11 switch. Is it the sam...

Tried adding 1 second of silence both at the start and at the end of the sound file with no success

I am still confused about what could be wrong, as I am able to load and auto run most files... Are you sure there is not any kind of hideous bug in tap2cd and tap2wav which could be the reason?

I had a problem with the conversion to WAV, there was always the message ERROR FOUND. I must add a silence of 1 second after the audio file using the Audacity Editor. After it works well. I must have tried that first. I remember Symoon told me this several times, but I thought using Audacity...

One quick post to state that Dbug's evil trick works  The Oric seems to write something in the screen (probably the Errors found message) and then the game is launched, though the cursor stays there as a white box. I guess it would be nice to disable it first. I think I have forgotten if we...

If that works, Dbug, it is indeed evil  I wonder if it could be possible to use this and create a tap file which: 1 - Includes a loader with a small basic program such as yours, switches to hires and prints on hires something like Skool Daze is Loading.. 2 - Includes the file generated by t...

Hi all. I have been tweaking and polishing things, and killing the last (hopefuly) bugs. Also testing the game in my Atmos to see if everything works as expected. I've experienced a lot of trouble for loading the game into the real machine. I am using Audacity and a setup, which, for example, loads ...

Hi and welcome to these forums! It would be indeed a nice idea. At least basic programs should not be very difficult to translate, as you say. Though I have never done so, I think there are tools in the OSDK that let you have a clean basic listing from the tap file, and you can edit as a txt file an...

How about leaving it to the user? Give us two keys to colour change, so one does even lines the other does the odd ones. This way players can have any colour combo they want if it just cycles through all 8 colours for each alternate line. Not a bad idea, but I am not sure if it would be worth it. I...

Thanks indeed again. I was using the original timetable yes, and therefor I have that bug. I tried to correct all the bugs you spotted so far in your website, except those which may not be so (such as the empty seat). Will probably send a teacher there. On another note and following Dbug's advice no...

Little progress lately, unfortunately, but still moving. I have been removing a couple of bugs and also toying with some timings to get closer to the original game. Also Dbug is working on a tape inlay which is looking really nice! I wish I could do something to enhance the sfx, but my efforts so fa...
