Re: re microdisc floppy controller board

Hi jdavis6809! I dont use an HxC with my Oric, but other users do, so they will be more helpful. In any case, we know this setup should work. A couple of things that could be of importance, are you using an original Microdisc board? Are you confident it works ok? Are you connecting it to the Oric us...

Re: California Devices Inc and the HCS10017

To be honest I was praying for something weirder and more useful, such as a way to change the starting address of the screen data  (almost there) or some mad way of inhibiting the attribute thing altogether and get a 320x200 monochrome display (yeah, nothing even near that). Nah, I did not ...

Re: California Devices Inc and the HCS10017

This is exciting. Incredibly exciting. I can't express how exciting.

I am going to read the pdf and see what's in there. But this is an incredible achievement for the Oric community.

Please tell Mike how thankful we are and that it would be incredible to see him around this forum.

Re: fgets ? how to ?

I think f* functions are not in the library (there is no file or stream support at all).

There was a gets and you can easily implement a secure string input function in c or asm easily.

I may even have one somewhere...

Re: Upgrade Time: Encounter

That would be a great idea, Dbug. I can tell the OSDK is great and can be used with any tools of your choice. I am using Notepad++ with syntax coloring for 6502 asm and C and project (multiple files) handling, but I also used Visual Studio in the past. In both cases I had/have hotkeys to build and l...

Very nice configuration! Does the bug also happen with older versions of Sedoric?

Re: Multiple IF THEN ELSE on the same line?

Okay, I might be completely misunderstanding the issue here, but is it related to the dangling else problem? If so, I am pretty sure the Oric BASIC interpreter acts either way, most probably by matching each ELSE to the latest IF that was 'seen'. In any case in a predictable way... I must be totally...

Re: Txt2Bas related question?

I don't think such a tools exists. It is certainly possible to do what you want, but I've never heard of a program that does that.

Maybe something not Oric related that creates a BASIC source?

This has gone too technical for me :) I am impressed by your work and still wonder if there will be a Windows /Linux version :)

Re: POP source code found (Prince of Princia)

I looked at the blog of the C64 conversion a long time ago, as I was curious about a possible conversion for the Oric. There are mainly two/three main problems to solve: - What Dbug said: the 6 pixel wide scans. That is a real nightmare. It was in SkoolDaze, where I tried to keep the original graphi...
